The Colorado Artists Guild Needs Your Help to Preserve Our History!

The Guild is 78 years old, founded in 1928, as the Denver Artists Guild, now called the Colorado Artists Guild. With 52 charter members, a colorful past, and a part of Colordo history, we are in the process of publishing a book called Memories of the Denver Artists Guild.
The lives of these early members have ended but their paintings, murals, sculpture, and architectural designs live on in museums, galleries, homes, parks, government buildings, banks and churches throughout Colorado. As relatives become elderly, collecting stories and photographs of these pioneer artists is of utmost urgency.
Featured charter members include: Dean Babcock, Albert Bancroft, Donald Bear, Charles Des Moineaux, Eric Douglas, Clarence Durham, Ann Evans, Gladys Caldwell Fisher, Laura Gilpin, Robert Graham, Helen Hagerman, Elsie Haynes, Marion Hendrie, Grace Church Jones, Audna Green Kerr, Vance Kirkland, Enrico Licari, C. Waldo Love, Harry Manning, Michael Edward O'Brien, Helen Perry, Paschal Quackenbush, Anna Gregory Ritter, Arnold Ronnebeck, Louise Ronnebeck, Paul St. Gaudcus, Francis Drexel Smith, Elizabeth Spalding, David Spivak, Estelle Stinchfield, Lucile Short Strinson, Pansy Stockton, Margaret Tee, R. Ildris Thomas, John Thompson, Allen Tupper True, M.R.F. Valle, Frank Vavra
We are a nonprofit 501c3 organization, seeking your help with donations to cover the costs of development, publication and distribution of this worthwhile project.
