Carmen Gardner
Biography
Carmen Gardner is a skilled artist whose talents include painting, drawing, and sculpture. In addition to traditional artistic endeavors she uses her talents to create interior designs and computer graphic related material. Carmen has created computer art designs for a number of companies including United Airlines, Jeppesen, and First Look Student Film Festival. She has started a multi faceted business called Red Dog Studios where she offers art services from traditional to innovative. Carmen received her Bachelor degree in Fine Art from the University of Colorado, Magna cum Laude.
Carmen is a Colorado native and still resides and creates in metro Denver. As a young girl she received her first easel and canvas. She spent many days painting pictures and daydreaming of far away places. She has been fortunate to not only pursue her artistic passion, but to also work for United Airlines and travel to many exciting cities throughout the world which allows her to communicate the world through her art.
Carmen continues to exhibit her work throughout the Rocky Mountain area. In addition she has shown in Aix-En Provence, France where she completed a study abroad program. Most recently she has shown at the University of Denver, Center for Women's Advancement, the Santa Fe Art District and the Botanic Gardens. She has interned for the San Francisco Art Commission Public Art Program and The Wildlife Experience in Denver. Carmen's talents focus on oil landscapes in large formats and watercolor mixed media pieces in small formats. One of Carmen's professors referred to her 2-inch watercolor mixed media art series as "small jewels on paper."
